The
EMS Tissue Chopper
The TC-1 Tissue Chopper is designed to facilitate the cutting of 100-1000 micron thick brain tissue slices for use in recording experiments. The chopper includes a guillotine arm with adjustments to assure blade alignment. The brain sample is moved in respect to the arm with a stage whose position can be read with 2 to 3 micron precision on a digital micrometer scale. The stage is made with a removable "PTFE" surface plate to facilitate cleaning.

Vibration-Free Portable Work Stations: ISO TAB-L
ISO Tab-L tabletop platforms are ideal for desktops in laboratories and Q.C. rooms, where they effectively isolate structural and floor vibration. Isolation is provided in the vertical and horizontal axes by pneumatic isolators located beneath the work surface. A protective shroud is supplied with all models, which is isolated from the working surface and protects the system from accidental jarring. The compact design of the ISO Tab-L enables a working height of 3 to 3.75 inches and will support and isolate precision instruments weighing between 50 lbs (22kg) and 900 lbs (405kg). Each model ISO Tab-L is required air supply of no more than 60 psi (4 bar), and access to inflate/deflate the isolators is provided by convenient ports located on the side of each system.
Levelling of table surface is performed via the regulator control units with air supplied from a manual pump or a dedicated source. The pressure at each isolator can be adjusteed manually to accommodate changes in load distruibution.

Isolators:
Three (3) isolators are adequate for most equipment. however, some applications may benefir from a fourth (4th) isolator to allow for alternative load distribution patterns. Whether three or four isolators are used, the isolation performance remains unchanged. Independent of load distribution, the location of the center of gravity of the equipment to be placed on the work surface should not exceed the base (b) to height (h) ration shown for any model ISO Tab-L to insure stability. For applications where the equipment center of gravity exceeds this ratio, contact our office so we may provide you with solutions so you achieve optimum performance and stability.

Vibration Isolation Platform - VIP Series 300
VIP Series 300 isolation technology is superior to air technology. First, these vibration isolation platforms are passive, mechanical and maintenance free. There are no air hoses or supporting hardware required. Second, Vistek bearings isolate effectively for the horizontal and vertical vibration components. The superior performance of the Vistek bearings in all six degrees of freedom makes this isolation platform the best choice for eliminating unwanted vibrations.
Virtually any type of scientific instrument may be positioned on the Series 300 Vibration Isolation Platform. Units such as microscopes, hardness testers, measuring devices, digital imaging systems, AFMs, and Analytical balances are all applications for a bench top or tabletop platform. Standard sizes are 12" x 18", 18" x 24", and 24" x 30", for general use. Custom shapes, sizes and colors are available on request.
