Graphene Coated Lacey Carbon TEM Grids

EMS #GF1200 0.1 mg of Graphene in 1 mL of Ethanol

Brochure Description:

As a solution of 0.1 mg graphene in 1 mL of ethanol. A homogeneous solution will take less than 30 seconds to create by sonicating the graphene-solvent mixture. One is able to coat their own grids using this solution.

Manufacturing Instructions:

  1. Deposit 0.1 mg of dry, as-synthesized graphene powder into a small glass vial.
  2. Deposit 1 mL of pure ethanol into the small glass vial.
  3. Close and seal the vial.

Customer Use Instructions:

  1. Initially, the graphene-ethanol mixture will be heterogeneous.  To obtain a homogeneous mixture, place the vial containing the graphene-ethanol mixture in an ultrasonic bath for at least 30 seconds.  After sonication, the graphene-ethanol mixture will appear dark and homogeneous.
  2. Immediately after sonication, deposit one drop of the graphene-ethanol mixture directly onto a lacey carbon TEM grid.  Allow the grid to dry.
  3. Once the grid is dry, nanomaterials can be deposited onto the grid for characterization.  Nanomaterials can be sonicated in organic solutions (e.g. ethanol, methanol) and dropped onto the coated TEM grids and allowed to dry.  Alternatively, dry nanomaterials can be deposited directly onto the grids.

EMS #GF1201, GF1202, GF1203 and GF1204 Graphene-enhanced Lacey Carbon Grids

Brochure Description:
As graphene-enhanced lacey carbon TEM grids.  200 and 300 mesh.  These grids are created by coating our existing lacey carbon grids with graphene.  Through a unique drop method, solution is dispersed onto the Lacey Carbon Grid.

Manufacturing Instructions:

  1. Deposit 0.1 mg of dry, as-synthesized graphene powder into a small glass vial.
  2. Deposit 1 mL of pure ethanol into the small glass vial.  Close the vial.
  3. Place the vial containing the graphene-ethanol mixture in an ultrasonic bath for at least 30 seconds.  After sonication, the graphene-ethanol mixture will appear dark and homogeneous.
  4. Immediately after sonication, deposit one drop of the homogeneous graphene-ethanol mixture directly onto each lacey carbon grid.  Allow the grids to dry.

Customer Use Instructions:

  1. Nanomaterials can be deposited onto the coated TEM grids for characterization.  Nanomaterials can be sonicated in organic solutions (e.g. ethanol, methanol) and dropped onto the coated TEM grids and allowed to dry.  Alternatively, dry nanomaterials can be deposited directly onto the grids.

EMS #GF1205– Synthesized Graphene Powder, 1 mg

Brochure Description:

As dry, synthesized graphene powder (1 mg).

Manufacturing Instructions:

  1. Deposit 1 mg of dry, as-synthesized graphene powder into a small glass vial.
  2. Close and seal the vial.

Customer Use Instructions:

  1. Customers may use the dry, synthesized graphene powder for any desired purpose.
