Automated sample preparation for biological electron microscopy continues to evolve. While a variety of tissue processors have been introduced over the years, most offer limited flexibility for unconventional specimens, require labor-intensive pre-run assembly, and carry relatively high per-sample reagent and consumables costs.
This webinar introduces the Prepmaster™ Automated Workflow System, an integrated robotic hardware, software, and reagent platform designed to deliver consistent, reproducible results across virtually any biological EM sample type.
All our webinars are free with registration. We hope you'll join us.
Description: By eliminating labor-intensive setup steps and improving reagent efficiency, the Prepmaster enables a more harmonized, scalable, and cost-effective approach to automated EM specimen preparation.
Attendees will learn how integrated automation with the Prepmaster System can standardize workflows, reduce hands-on time, and support high-quality, repeatable EM results in research and diagnostic applications across a wide variety of sample types.

EMS is pleased to announce a series of webinars this May and June in cooperation with our esteemed colleagues at Quorum Technologies, specialists in sample preparation for EM. All webinars are free with registration. We hope you'll join us.
Description: Plasma cleaning is a key technique used for electron microscopy (EM) sample preparation, as it efficiently removes hydrocarbons and other contaminants that can obscure fine structural details, reduce image contrast and impact the reliability of results. In this webinar, Dr. Helena Bland of Quorum, will demonstrate how to integrate plasma treatments into your workflow, providing a step by step guide to enhance surface wettability, achieve more uniform deposition of biological samples on grids, and improve overall sample adhesion. This session aims to help users elevate image quality, increase reproducibility, and streamline EM preparation processes.
Date & Time: May 6, 2026, 09:00 AM EDT
Description: Imaging non conductive samples in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) can be challenging and error prone when proper preparation steps are not followed. The conditions of the coating process can greatly influence the outcome of results. In this webinar, Dr. Helena Bland of Quorum will demonstrate techniques using the TurboQ S high-vacuum coater to achieve precise thin film metal coatings. This session will focus on best practices for selecting target materials and fine-tuning deposition parameters to ensure optimal results for ultra-high-resolution imaging and analysis.
Date & Time: May 27, 2026, 09:00 AM EDT
Description: Cryo sample preparation is essential for the preservation of biological, high-moisture content and beam sensitive specimens for cryo-FIB/SEM workflows. In this webinar, Dr. Helena Bland of Quorum, will demonstrate how the Quorum PP3010 Cryo Preparation System, used together with the Cryo Rotate Stage and Auto Refill, can support cryo-FIB-SEM lamella preparation and volume imaging. This session will offer a detailed guide to correlative solutions giving recommendations to streamline and enhance workflows.
