Important Update: New U.S Tariffs and Impact on Product Pricing

Dear Valued Customer,

As you may be aware, the United States government has enacted new tariffs effective April 5, 2025, as part of a broader trade policy shift. These changes apply to a wide range of imported goods and components critical to the manufacturing and supply of Biolyst Scientific products, including those from both Azer Scientific and Electron Microscopy Sciences.

From the outset, we have worked diligently to plan ahead, maintain healthy inventory levels, and absorb as many cost increases as possible to shield our customers from disruption. Despite these efforts, the scope and scale of the new tariffs mean we must now implement a modest price adjustment to account for the rising costs directly attributable to these import duties. This step is necessary to maintain continuity of supply and quality while ensuring we can continue to serve you reliably.

We will continue to monitor changes to trade policy closely and adjust these surcharges accordingly — reducing or removing them as circumstances allow. In parallel, we are actively expanding our U.S. manufacturing and tariff-free sourcing strategies to further mitigate and limit future impacts.
