Conductive Adhesives

Used to adhere a sample to its mount while minimizing the charging effects of an electron beam on a non-conductive specimen, conductive adhesive for scanning electron microscopy is available in a wide range of designs and materials for a multitude of applications. At EMS, we carry a complete range of conductive adhesive types, including both conductive tape and conductive glue.

The primary materials used in conductive adhesives are carbon-based adhesives like graphite, and silver, the latter of which is typically employed when an extremely low electrical resistance is necessary for optimal imaging. The consistency of a conductive adhesive can vary based on the specific needs of the specimen. We offer a broad spectrum of conductive adhesive types at EMS, including those like copper foil tape, colloidal silver paste, graphite adhesives, and carbon conductive cement. These materials are also available in several different applicator styles, ranging from micro-tip pens and sprays to small adhesive tabs.
