Versatility in the lab makes the Elite PAP Pen the premier pen for applications not limited to IHC, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization, as well as work with frozen sections.
The primary function of the Elite PAP Pen is to create a well that has enough surface tension to keep laboratory solutions in a specific area and not leach out. These solutions include antibodies and stains to name a few. Barriers created with the Elite PAP Pen are insoluble in alcohol and acetone and can withstand temperatures up to 120˚C. These pens are ideal in a microwave setting including staining, rehydration, and dehydration steps.
The barrier may be removed with Xylene if needed.
