High purity, optical-grade NaCl, KBr and KCl
- Ideal for education, thin film research, and single crystal film research
- Excellent substrates for growing epitaxial films
- Less than 1% impurity
Orientation of vacuum-coated thin films is directly related to the orientation of the single-crystal substrate used to create single-crystal films. For most applications, freshly cleaved substrates are recommended. cleaved crystal surfaces produce atomically flat areas, but some cleavage stepping over different atomic planes is to be expected.
Sodium chloride (NaCl), potassium bromide (KBr), and potassium chloride (KCl) crystals are available. Crystal size is 10 x 10 x 10 mm with (100) orientation. Supplied in packs of 5.
