The Mini Hotplate/Orientator is ideal for use at the microtome. Use to eliminate wrinkling of tissue sections, re-orient embedded tissue, and in microbiology for heat-fixing bacteria smears.
An anti-microbial paint finish inhibits the growth of viruses and bacteria. The heating area features a matte black powder finish that provides visual contrast with paraffin tissue sections and warms to approximately 80° C.
